Introducing Ibby W.

Share a brief overview of your professional background.

I began my career in the restaurant industry at Al’s French Frys, where I worked my way up to a management role within my first year. At the same time, I pursued my passion for nursing and became a Licensed Nursing Assistant on the psychiatric unit.

In December of 2020, I made a career pivot into financial services, joining TD Bank in Burlington as a Financial Service Representative. There, I discovered a new passion for educating and helping people in a different way. Over the next two years, I progressed from Member Service Representative to Store Supervisor, focusing on relationship building, team development, and growing as a leader.

I currently serve as a Branch Manager at EastRise Credit Union, where I’ve truly come into my own as a leader. I love being actively involved in the community, strengthening the relationships I’ve built, and continuing to develop my team while collaborating across departments to make our work and the member experience better and easier.

Share a bit about your personal interests or hobbies.

My personal interest are centered around being a husband and dad. I enjoy growing alongside my kids and parenting at the same stage of life as many of our friends. I love playing all sports, keeping my kids active, traveling as much as we can, and exploring everything Vermont has to offer.

Recommend a local restaurant/shop/business that you love.

It’s hard to choose just one local favorite. Burlington has an incredible food scene. The food trucks on Pine Street are unmatched, but one of my go-to spots is Wilder Wines. It’s one of my favorite places to enjoy a great glass of natural wine or pick up a bottle to take home.

Tell us what you like most about living in the greater Burlington area.

I love the strong sense of community Burlington has to offer and how people consistently show up for one another. This has been home for me since I was 15, and it truly feels like a place where connection matters. Between the festivals, farmers markets, and incredible local businesses, there’s always something bringing people together and making the community feel vibrant and welcoming.

Share what motivated you to join the BYP Advisory Board.

I was motivated to join the BYP Advisory Board because I believe strongly in creating spaces where young professionals can connect, grow, and feel invested in the community they live and work in. Burlington has played a huge role in my personal and professional growth, and I wanted to give back by helping shape opportunities, programming, and conversations that support the next generation of leaders.
